     This week, we began by thanking our God for the blessings He continues to pour out on us. We thank Him for the friends He has brought us, other joys of life, and also the trials that help shape us into the people You want us to be.

   The first request brought forward was for those on Baylor’s campus who use drugs, alcohol, and partying to mask the pain they feel inside. We pray for specific people we know who are caught in this terrible cycle. Lord, please break through these masks they put on, expose this lifestyle as empty so that they may be led to find healing in the fullness of Your grace alone.

     We feel like God is trying to tell us that 2018 is the year of downpour. So we pray, “Let it rain, Lord, let it rain!” We ask that God’s grace would rain on this campus and bring forth a harvest of new believers as well as students who choose to follow the Lord’s call into international mission fields. We also acknowledge Christ as the center of all of this, as the clock by which we discern what to do and when to do it. We rely fully on Him!
We pray, once again, that all nations would come to the house of God, that the prophecy in Isaiah 2 would come to pass:

“The mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established
As chief among the mountains;
It will be raised above the hills,
And all nations will stream to it.

Many peoples will come and say,
‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
To the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
So that we may walk in his paths.’”

~Isaiah 2:2-3

     We ended our meeting with a call to repentance. Especially on a day honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., we pray that the racial strife still present in our country would cease and that we would see the day when love replaces hatred and fear not only in words but also in hearts. We repent of our own sins and complacency, and ask for the courage to move forward in repentance and love.

We ask that you join with us in these prayers for our campus and the nations.
Thank you!
